Any student turning 15 years old during the school year. Exception: During the summer sessions any student who is 14 years 7 months or, in other words, anyone turning 15 by May of the following school year may enroll and take the classroom during the summer. When they turn 15 they can begin driving behind the wheel.
The total cost of the program is $325 which can be paid at the time of registration. Cash or checks made payable to “FDL Funds” are the only accepted methods of payment. Payment Plan: $200 is due at registration and $125 is due before the last classroom session.
The classroom sessions are conveniently held at Fond du Lac High School.
Students need to be at least 15 years old and have completed the classroom portion of the program. They will receive a MV3001 form which is required to get their temps.
Students need to take the MV3001 form that they received at the end of the classroom session, a certified copy of their birth certificate or a valid US passport, and their Social Security card. More information is available on the Wisconsin DMV website.
Students must have completed the classroom portion of the program, be 15 years old and have their instruction permit.
Students need to complete 6 lessons. Each lesson is 2 hours long and entails 1 hour of driving and 1 hour of in-car observation.
Arrangements should be discussed with your behind-the-wheel instructor. On school days, students are usually picked up from school and dropped off at home. On non-school days students are usually picked up and dropped off at home.
Students are given the name and phone number of their instructor at the end of the classroom sessions. If the information is misplaced, please use the contact form to obtain the information or call the office at (920) 906-6565.
We currently use late model crossover SUVs (Chevy Equinox) for Behind The Wheel instruction.
Please contact your Behind The Wheel instructor with at least 24 hours notice to cancel a scheduled lesson. NOTE: There is a $35 fee assessed for any scheduled lessons cancelled without the required notice.
Students must be 16 years old and have had their Instruction permit a minimum of 6 months to take the driving exam.
